The CommitteeChairperson’s Message

On behalf of North Sligo Agriculture Show, I would like to extend a warm Céad Míle
Fáilte to all attending our 73rd Annual Show.
We the Committee would request you to obey Safety Signs and instructions set out
by the Safety Officer and Stewards to ensure the well-being of all present
My role as Chairperson is made easier by an energetic and dedicated Committee
in the organising of this outstanding event. To the excellent band of volunteers who
help throughout the duration of the Show, a big thank you.
Once more we acknowledge the continued support from the Department of Rural
and Community Development and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the
Marine to the Show.
Due to the very high standard of exhibits at the Show, Judges have a difficult task in
making decisions, we request all exhibitors to respect the outcome.
A word of appreciation to our numerous sponsors, particularly our main sponsor
BMG Hardware and DIY, Bundoran, without your support this day would not happen.
I would also like to acknowledge the generosity of the public to our numerous
fundraising events throughout the year.
The Committee are indebted to the numerous property owners for their generosity
in providing their facilities at the event, especially Grange Business Park for their
excellent venue for hosting the Show.
Thank you to all whose exhibits are prepared with the utmost detail and presentation
on show day. We would like to acknowledge their tremendous efforts.
The Committee welcome all visitors, family and friends to a wonderful day out
to North Sligo Agriculture Show. We always endeavour to have a full and varied
programme of activities including music, song and dance. The headline act is
Declan Nerney, with local supporting artists.
My privilege as Chairperson of the 73th Annual Show is to welcome you all. Hope
everyone enjoys their day.
